I love the uniquness of this book. It's so different... the mystery of Lucas remains a mystery even upon his death.

I am speechless after reading it. This is not the kind of book I usually read, but I am touched by it all the same.

I now want to read all the books written by...

Loved this book! Although: be warned - there are some significant swear words in this and some mature content. Lucas is a drifter who lives life solo. He catches the eye of Cait, who sees only the good in Lucas, but he also gains the unwanted attention of a rowdy group of college students, who want him out of their community. The story builds to a terrific, but dark, climax.

This is clearly the saddest book I have read so far. For some reason I find that it was really easy to read it and know exactly what is happening.

The ending was horrible but other than that it was good. Kevin Brooks is an amazing author :)

I've read this book before, can't remember the exact time though but I read it again last night. And I loved it, the book is romantic, without any major romantic event taking place. It's scary, because of the horrible things that happen to Angel and of course to Lucas. The characters go through a major change in the book, and I guess that is one of the reasons why I love this book, and also because the characters are so different from another. There is not character which is like the other, they may share some features, but they are completely different from another none the less. I love the character of Dominic, Caitlin, John and of course Lucas. It's also amazing because I cry every time I read it. The book is not only about Lucas, but about important subjects which isn't the main point of the book, but yet important and I love how briefly Kevin Brooks write about those. Lucas is an amazing character, for some reason, even if he isn't the biggest part of the book, he's still on your mind through the entire book. I also love, the chemistry between himself and Caitlin. I could probably write about this book forever, because it is so amazingly written, so beautiful and sad. But I'm gonna finish this review by saying that, I normally hate endings where people die or when things just don't end "happily." But with this book, the ending was somewhat perfect. Lucas remains this mysterious character, which is the reason why I love the ending.
