Didn’t Like It

Ahh, a messy novel by Crichton. American POV of ethical business. Same old Japan taking over America with help of Americans. Same old babel already told by Iacocca and many many other.

Hated this book. 1/5

Quite an intriguing, twisted story. Nothing predictable about this one. Unusual methods used to solve the mystery.

Iam amazed the way Michael Crichton blends fact n fiction. Before reading this novel I have never really read any novel or books about Japan but after this book I understood so much about their culture and way of thinking (which is not the main theme of the book!) A simple murder mystery and the way the two cultures or mindsets of the people involved i.e Americans and Japanese interact, to me was very interesting.

Though I didn't like Rising Sun as much as his other stuff, its still a very good read, & leaves you surprised in the end. I found it a tad slow, though.
