Enjoyed it a lot. Good follow up to Thich Nhat Hanh's Being Peace.

This book was not what I expected. I wanted more specific enlightenment reading, and instead it was like a novel of his life. Sadly for me the character development wasn't engaging enough. I just expected something different and in the end I wanted more.

A great book from the point of the story. Since I have already read Thick not hun's old path and white clouds, I found that Deepak chopra's version of Buddha's life fades in comparison with the former. On the whole, Its great book to read, it also includes the guidelines on personal happiness by deepak chopra. The way deeepak chopra built the character of Buddha is very realistic. Siddhartha's character in the book and its inner turmoil is too close to the way the present day human beings think.
