This is quite different from the Vampire Chronicles with Lestat, Armand, and the others. As usual Anne Rice's writing is beautiful and ornate and filled with exotic suspence and it had an alluring storyline. The ending might just blow you away. It was very different from the others: the vampires could have sex or even die from wounds inflicted upon them even when the sun wasn't out. It was very good though and even though it wasn't a favorite of mine I still recommend it.
