Yasmine Galenorn's most recent addition to the trillogy of the D'Artigo sisters is an intense ride. This book's heroine is Delilah. She's half fae and half human. The fae in her has a quirk, she's a shape shifter. Or if you ask her, she's a were cat. She doesn't shift into a huge lion, but a cute fluffy orange tabby cat. Delilah is an Otherworld Intellgence Agency operative, who gets hired to solve the mystery of who is killing the Weres of the Rainier Puma Pride. With Zachary Lyonnesse, the were puma turning up the heat with Delilah, and Shadow Wing still out to control all worlds. Things are getting interesting to say the least. You won't be disappointed by this book. Happy reading!

Heroine is one of three half-fae, half-human sisters living on Earth in an attempt to help protect it from an invasion from the dark side—or something like that. This sister is a shapeshifter, but she doesn't shift into anything scary. She's a fluffy cat. I'm not real sure there's a hero in this story. The heroine has a boyfriend, but there's a shapeshifting puma, come to the sisters for help because someone's started killing off other Weres in their pride, who attracts the heroine. After this, things got really complicated and I had a little trouble keeping track of all the threads in the story. The main plot was pretty clear, but a lot of the politics and such seemed a little distracting. All the same, I enjoyed reading it. Nice story.

I didn't even finish this book. I really liked Yasmine Galenorn when she was writing mysteries, so when I heard she was writing urban fantasy, I bought the first three books expecting to love them, but Witchling was a huge disappointment to me. I thought the fantasy world was a little too cliche. I really like Yasmine though, so I wanted to give the next book in the series a chance before I decided they weren't for me, but I like Delilah even less than I liked Camille which after reading Witchling I didn't think was possible.

The second book in this series was just as good as the first. This one seemed to have more humour in it. Delilah's inability to control her shifting made for some light-hearted moments.
I still liked the relationship between the sisters. The disagreements about how both Camille and Menolly treated her like a child seemed realistic.

"The first in an engrossing new series, [Witchling was] a whimsical reminder of fantasy's importance in life" (Publishers Weekly). Now comes Changeling-again featuring Camille, the good witch, Menolly, the vampire, and Delilah, a feline shapeshifter. They're the D'Artigo sisters, half-human, half-Faerie supernatural agents who are now enlisted to find the fiends responsible for slaughtering the weres of Rainier Puma Pride.

This second book in the series stars the second sister, Delilah, the shapeshifter. The story starts with her being outside in the garden/woods under the full moon in her cat form. She senses an other shifter near, and not knowing if it is good or bad, she decides to take a higher perch to watch things. But unfortunately, she falls and gets her long golden fur tangled in some thorney plants. She can't free herself, and has to be rescued by a mouse! Or wait till the sun comes up and she can shift again.
The unknown where appears a few days later in her PI office, asking for her help with something that is killing the members of his clan. In a couple of minutes, the victims are sucked dry of not only blood but all body fluids, their hearts taken, and their bodys left a dry shell. They have no idea what the murderer is. Delilah is strangely attrackted to this Zachary, an earthborn were-puma. She is not used to those feelings like her sister Camille, who juggles her lovers around. She just discovered the joys of sex in her human form with Chase, the human agent of the Otherworld Intelligence Agency they all work for.
Chase is digging through his files, trying to find enemies to the puma clan, and he comes up with the Hunters Moon Clan, a clan of were spiders. (If you are afraid of spiders, like I am, don't try to imagine what those look like in a human size form!)
His usual informants are too afraid to tell him anything about those spiders, so the only place to get information, is through The Autumn Lord, one of the Elemental Lords, living outside mortal or fay realms. They need the help of their dragon friend Smokey, and he asks a very steep price for his help: Camille as his consort for a week. Even though he is gorgeous in his human form, she is a little scared about that, but they have no other choice.
And the Autumn Lord asks an even bigger price from Delilah, she becomes one of his Maiden…
But they have to defeat the new demon squad and the Hunters Moon Clan, and find the second spirit seal before the demons do. And meanwhile, the situation back home at Otherworld is getting worse. They are on their own…

I loved this book. It captured my attention a lot more than the previous one, but I also had more time to keep on reading. In this one Delilah is the focus of the story, although the personal lifes of all three sisters keep on evolving. The same characters as in the previous book play a role, and they learn a bit more about their destiny, and their powers.
I loved the part where they set up a Christmas Tree, decorated it, and then Delilah couldn't keep her cat under control, got mesmerizes by the glittering balls and stuff, turned into a cat, and played havoc with the tree.
It just has a lot of humor mixed in with the action, the sisters have to mature more to cope with the dangers at hand, but in between the action there is still time for some fun.
I know you will like this series as much as I do. Just a few short love scenes.
I am really looking forward to the next one.
    4 stars for this one.

I liked this one a little better then the first one of the series (Witchling). BUT, I felt like I couldn't move it up in stars because it left a few things about Delilah unfinished! I felt like these things were important enough to see through to the end...but Yasmine Galenorn must of not thought so?! I don't get it!

Still overall a very good book.

I actually think I liked Witchling better but that could just be because in this book they were fighting Werespiders! Blech--as if real spiders aren't bad enough! But in general, I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading the 3rd book in the series, Darkling.

While I enjoyed this second book in the trilogy, it is like many middle books, full of information but progressing slowly on the main story line, (rather like the Two Towers of The Lord of the Rings). This sister is harder for me to relate to, possibly because she seems so young and unformed compared to the other two sisters. A good read, and carries the plotlines forward while adding complexities to overcome, as well as some very interesting characters, ( a dragon, deranged fae), but I still prefer the vampire sister. She has much of my outlook on life - life sucks, but you have to go on and make the best of it, and keep your family close. Looking forward to more from this author.
