Completely fascinating. I ended up reading it in one sitting at Borders. The Michael Oher story is great, but the football history is almost better. The two areas are intertwined well, so the story plays out nicely from both sides without the transitions feeling forced.

Even though the kid goes to Ole Miss now, I don't hold it against him. But he should have followed Nick Saban to 'Bama.

Perfect, thanks for the response, I will check it out. You may enjoy Moneyball as well, although it also adds stats into the mix. Don't be spooked, Lewis does it in an interesting way...

I didn't read Moneyball, but the book is great. Although I'm a football fan (go Pats!), I can't say I actually KNOW much about the game. But the story is about football, human nature, family, education, you name it. The story informs, uplights, enlightens and leaves you wanting more. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, including people not that interested in football.
