“Great story. I knew almost nothing about football and this helped me, but what kept my interest was the riveting story about Michael Oher, who will most likely enter the NFL next year. A good read for all. No need to like football.”

“The part of the book that talks about Michael Oher and his transformation into a star football player was ok. It dragged a bit in parts. The portion of the book that described the evolution of the left tackle position with examples of different offenses and how a player in that position is more or as sought after as a quarterback was a snore. I am a huge football fan and I even found those sections to be overly technical and unnecessary. Overall I read 60% of the book and skipped through the...”

    “Completely fascinating. I ended up reading it in one sitting at Borders. The Michael Oher story is great, but the football history is almost better. The two areas are intertwined well, so the story plays out nicely from both sides without the transitions feeling forced.”

But the story is about football, human nature, family, education, you name it. The story informs, uplights, enlightens and leaves you wanting more. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, including people not that interested in football.”
