The book The Blind Side by Michael Lewis is a heartwarming and emotional book. If you don't believe people or your parents when they say you can anything you want if u work hard and but your mind to it, then i think you should read this book. This book also lets people know that you should take nothing for granted and be great full for what you have.
In this book a kid named Michael Oher grew up on the streets by himself. His father wasn't in his life and his mother was a drug addict. Michael was extremely big, he was 6 feet 5 inches and roughly 325 pounds. Michael hardly went to school, and when he did, he refused to do work. Until he got accepted into Braircrest christian school. Braircrest school was in Memphis where Michael was from. One day Michael was walking around town when the Tuohys family saw him, and took him in. Michael stayed with them for a ling time, then they decided to adopted him.
Michael worked extremely hard to get his grades up so he could play football, and he did. After one great year on the football field, Michael received tons of offers. In order for Michael to play college football he had to bring his GPA up to a 2.6, and it was at a .6 Sure enough Michael did, and accepted an offer to the university of Miss. From there he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2009 draft.
This book implies that anything is possible if you work hard and put your mind to it.
