“Billy Beane and Paul DePodesta are two of the most savvy and brilliant businessmen in baseball. Their ability to manage the Oakland A's under such tight financial constraints and with such strict objectivity is a business model from which anyone can benefit. I am not a baseball fan in the least, but even I found myself riveted by Beane's tactics and the inside of the game fans rarely get to see.”

3 stars
Moneyball takes a look at at the business of baseball, and how it's all about the big salaries and filling a lineup. Billy Beane was Okland's A general manager, dealing with a low budget but big dreams. Beane is looking for a way to make his team the best and give him the edge of the teams with big budgets.”
“5 star if you have you are interested in baseball and sabermetrics”

Moral of the story- conventional wisdom got to be that way because it generally works.”
