- Kona: A chocolate Labrador Retreiver who's best friend is a squirrel.
- Murray: Stumpy's neighbor in her tree. He is a tiny black-and-silver bat. He likes Mars bars.
- Gwendolyn: The friendly hermit crab who shares a house with Kona. She is very weather sensitive and the most charming hermitbcrab with a creamy white shell that had flowing brown lines across it.
- Professor Albert: A retired biology professor who loved to listen to the saxophone and grow daylilies. Owner of Gwendolyn and Kona.
- Albert: Add a description of this character.
- Top: One of three of Stumpy's children. He liked to sleep on top of his brother.
- Bottom: One of the three of Stumpy's children. He was slept on top of. He preferred the bottom.
- Sparrow: The last of Stumpy's three children. She was named Sparrow for her pretty songs.
