- Wilco Van Rooijen: The climber in the Dutch team that was summiting the K2. He was rescued from from K2 after spending 36 hours in bivouac.
- Gerard Mcdonnell: Another climber in the Dutch Team. He was fondly called as Jesus by the Italian climber Marco. He was extremely well-liked by people across the expeditions and was known to be full of life. He lost his life on the K2 summit; believed to be taken by an avalanche atop the serac in the mountain.
- Dren Mandic: The climber in the serbian expedition. He was the first one to die while climbing the Traverse on the K2. He died by falling while climbing the Traverse.
- Eric Meyer: The climber in the American team. He and his partner abandoned the efforts to summit the mountain K2 after seeing the crowd lined up to summit the mountain.
- Gyalje: He was the sherpa.
- Fredrik Strang: Was the climbing partner for Eric Meyer. He along with Eric Meyer did not summit K2 after seeing the crowd summiting the peak.
- Cas Van De Gevel: A climber in the dutch climbing team. He was one of the people who went to rescue the other dutch climber on the mountain with the Sherpa.
