  • Susan McConnell: Susan is a junior in high school and one of Mr. Griffin's students. Susan is a shy, quiet girl who is also a very good student and one of the few who doesn't feel wronged by Mr. Griffin.
  • David Ruggles: David is a senior in high school and one of Mr. Griffin's students. He's a good student who feels he was treated unfairly by Mr. Griffin.
  • Mark Kinney: Mark is a senior in high school and one of Mr. Griffin's students. He is cunning and smart.
  • Jeff Garrett: Jeff is a senior in high school and one of Mr. Griffin's students. He is a star player on the varsity basketball team and feels he was treated unfairly by Mr. Griffin.
  • Sue McConnel: Sue is a nerd in high school when a popular guy asks her out and her life completely changes.
  • Irma Ruggles: David's grandmother who is a semi-invalid. Mrs. Ruggles is clingy and demanding of much of her grandson David's time.
  • Mrs. Griffin: The worried and pregnant wife of Mr. Griffin. She pressure Sue to tell the truth.
