read this a while back, so my memory of it is a little hazy. it was a little dull at parts but sweet. the artwork was very rhymes-with-orange (if i recall correctly) and could've been better.

Clumsy and Awkward but an interesting take on introverted basket cases...

This autobiographical tale of a relationship is charming, personal, and intimate. Very well told with great pacing and rudimentary art which suits the emtion of the material.

Funny. Heart-warming. What's wrong with their bodies.

The trials and tribulations of love and lost love. Great story that was recommended to me and now I recommend it to all of you.

disjointed, totally non-chronological collection of four-or-eight panels drawings that could barely be considered doodles that manage to convey the complete spectrum of intensity, intimacy and heartbreak of a young relationship.

"Clumsy is the story of a new relationship and is stunning in its realism and honesty. The frailty of the drawn line perfectly matches the human frailty portrayed within the story. It's just so damn human. This is my favorite graphic novel ever. Even if Jeffrey Brown never draws another line again, he has already won a permanent place in my heart. Still, I want more." So says James Kochalka. And with a review like that, I had to read this book. I come away, however, with a report of a rather different hue. Whiny rather than frail. The drawn line matches little perfectly; the art is dreadful. This is not "my favorite graphic novel ever." I am, however, stunned. Stunned that Kochalka was so rhapsodic.
