As a librarian, I am reluctant to recommend this book to teens due to its size adn sexual content, though I loved the book. What do y'all think?

most teens can handle it, as teen-ager myself, I hear the conversations, and most teens can handle it, don't judge them by their dress or apparent shyness, they'll surprise you, but don't just randomly recommend it, take a minute to think, maybe warn the kids. give it to them in a stack or list of books so that they don't feel pressured to read it or comment on it to you.

The fact that it has sexual content makes is even better for teens. I am sixteen, and I loved this book immensely. The sexuality did not disturb me at all -- let alone scar me or something. It is refreshing to read something honest, realistic and intelligent on sexuality in a 'young adult' novel. If there is one group of people who should read about sex like this, it´s teens. Trust me, they all know how porn movies look like. The thing you want to do is show them the loving, beautiful side, too, because most of them haven´t experienced that side themselves.
