This is a very moving and captivating allegory about God's message of love and forgiveness to mankind by means of a note send by a father to his child minutes before a tragic plane crash.

Gets one thinking of just how they'd receive a note of forgiveness.

A reporter's column starts stirring up issues she would rather forget and forces her to face things in her past that she had buried long ago.

Angela Hunt is another of my favorite authors. The Note has a very differnt style from her other books and this one kind of threw me for a loop, but I loved it just the same.

A good read - though for some reason it took me ages to get through.

I did enjoy its twists and turns and tiny sub-plots, though I think some of them could have been explored a little more.

I thought that the relationship between the two main characters could have been given a little more depth also- just to make it a little more believable.

All-in-all, an enjoyable book - and interesting that it came out just months before the 9-11 attacks, given its subject matter!

For once, i have to say the book isn't as good as the movie. The people receiving the note were more likable and had more to do with guiding Peyton's change in the movie than the book it seems like. The newspaper anchor being a woman and having an affair with the boss does help the plot though i think for the book over the movie.

This book was given to me by a friend, but took me awhile to pick up to read. It seemed like a cheesey girly book. But I was surprised in the end. It was a decent story and moving. It leads you to think about the secret parts of our lives we keep burried and the pain that causes. By no means a fav but it did better than my expectations.
