“I finished this book about a week ago, and, the funny thing about it, is that the story line is almost exactly the same as the Nancy Drew title: The Hidden Window Mystery. Though there are many differences, there are more similarities.

Nancy and her friend Bess are visiting a favorite historical romance author down south, and they soon learn that someone - or something, is trying to scare them out - and they are not afraid to go to drastic measures.
Finding a secret passageway, a horse and buggy incident and a treasure of gold are only a few things you will read about in this book. The author's way of writing was good, but nothing about it really stood out. “This time while enjoying summer with Bess ,a yet another mystery is left with Nancy to solve.Bess's fave. author has'nt replied back her letter as she usually does nor has her new edition of books been published.Bess gets a sudden shock when she's invited by the author herself along with her friend Nancy to her huge Magnolia mansion.Together they are set on a mission to check what's troubling the author.This book is Keene's best combination of suspense,excitement and past life of theauthor's family.”
