This book was slower going than the others I read.

“Great story about the inner problems of a marrage along with the planetary problems. Miles is great as always and the mystery will pull you in. If you read this book you'll have to read the next Civil Campain. ”

“While I did enjoy this book, I found it to be the weakest, so far, of the Vorkosigan Saga. Bujold has taken another great turn in the story of Miles Vorkosigan which is one of the things I love about this series. Bujold is great at changing the storyline before it gets old and tired. This story is a romance/mystery. There is not the action of previous books and half of the book is from a character that is not Miles. One of the things that endears this series to me is the Miles perspective that is makes up a lot of the wit of the book. ”
