Didn’t Like It“Cute story about a boy who falls into a Baker's Kitchen and helps them make bread and cakes in a very imaginative way. Fun illustrations, however I don't find them entirely appropriate for children. The young boy ends up falling out of his clothes and there are 3 full frontals of him depicted at various point in the book. A little risque in my opinion. ”

The pages are filled with larger than life, detailed, drawings. There is a lot going on if you take the time to look closely at the pictures. The writing is simple, but uses a wide range of vocabulary words. As a child I always liked imagining myself as a kid in a dough airplane, floating around space. Of course, the thought of a midnight snack of cookies or cake has always been a draw for me to this book.
My only concern with the book is that there are a few illustrations where the main character, Mickey, is naked. I have reservations about reading this book to a young class because of those illustrations. Other than that, I highly recommend reading this book to young kids. ”
