A lot of the information in this book is out of date. But for a handbook for the 1970 this is a great book. This book teaches anything from finding free food to getting a ride from New York to California. Abbie Hoffman did a great job writing this book and i would recommend it to any inspired guerilla fighter.

A lot of the information is out of date, but as a practical handbook this book has prepared me to live as a guerilla fighter in the streets of a city somewhere. I think Abbie Hoffman wrote it well, and it did make me laugh a few times (although it earned me a stern look from the lady at the passport office who asked what I was reading).
From what I understand of the yippies, it captured their zeitgeist really well (which isn't surprising, seeing as it defined them). Good.

This is one of the first and most memorable books for left leaning individuals. Be warned though, a lot of the stuff is out of date. Read it for its historical value, recipes, and laughs. Inspiring.

This book is very, very funny. It's not really meant to be, but if you aren't an aspiring anarchist it is hilarious. I ordered it from the library, but they had to order it all the way from Nevada. All the ones in the Sacramento County Public Library system are "missing". I'm not sure the FBI has stopped tracking people in posession of this book, but it doesn't matter. It's definitely worth reading.

Not actually that useful anymore, but I love the Yippies.

Its outdated now but there are still some pieces of good advice - especially in the chapter “Fuck Los Angeles.”

The summer I turned twelve my mother made me start going downstairs to the adult section of the library. She always discouraged us from reading fiction. I still feel guilty for enjoying fiction.
I proudly stole this book that summer. My mother still has it in her library.
