Easily one of the greatest books I have ever read! I read the Happiest Baby on the Block when my daughter was born and found that very helpful and it flowed with the way I wanted to parent. I bought this one hoping for the same result and it delivered bigtime! I don't do the toddlerese talk because I don't want her to speak like that. I just simplify everything and always use the fast food rule. It has worked wonders!

This book is filled with suggestions on how to handle tantrums, along with specific "systems" on how to curb bad behavior...... Most are common sense, and there were only a couple new ones. Overall the "systems" taught in this book did not work for my kids at all. This definetly was not even half as good as "the happiest baby on the block"! I'm not sure if i would recommend this book to other parents.... it was fairly disappointing.
