This is one of the most illuminating and interesting books on suicide that I’ve read in a very long time. It goes about as far as any book can in helping to explain this deeply tragic event, and to provide hope and alternatives for those contemplating taking their own lives.

Just a few chapters will help you to understand a suicide risk assessment, or to conduct one without ever needing someone to give you a list of questions.

Excellent research into the topic of suicide. A 'must read' for anyone that has lost someone to suicide.

I read this book years ago too. I remember putting it down and being so grateful I had read it. Suicide has always intrigued me both as a professional and for personal reasons.
