  • Spencer Hastings: There is pretty much nothing she doesn't know. She plays every sport you can think of, but her one flaw... she wants everything her sister has.
  • Aria Montgomery: An artsy free minded individual, never finding her style. Aria moved to Iceland after Ali's disappearance. She just moved back to Rosewood. Now as Icelandic Aria. Is into photography. She meets a guy named Ezra and realizes a HUGE shocker.
  • Emily Fields: Emily Fields is a girl in Ali's clique that is a swimmer and has a secret crush on Alison. And she has a current boyfriend. She is shy. Sometimes referred to as the "weakest link". She is an -A target.
  • Hanna Marin: Once a chubby loser, now the most popular girl in her school. She rules the school with her best friend Mona Vanderwaal.
  • -A: An unknown person that knows and sends messages to Spencer, Emily, Hanna and Aria. A also knows all of there dark secrets that they told Alison - and only Alison.
  • Toby Cavanaugh: Jenna's step-brother and Spencer's neighbor. Ali and the girls find him suspicious.
  • Melissa Hastings: Spencer's older sister, who Spencer thrives to be like. Parents-favorite. Comes back home with her boyfriend Wren that Spencer takes an immediate liking to.
  • Ian Thomas: Melissa's boyfriend before she met Wren. Right now he's an assistant teacher at Spencer's field hockey team.
  • Mona Vanderwall: Hanna's friend, who used to be a loser and was picked on or ignored by Ali and the four girls.
  • Sean Ackard: Hanna Marin's boyfriend that she has been crushing on ever since Jr. High. that makes decisions that shock Hanna.
  • Maya St. Germain: Emily's friend, and who Emily is having confusing feelings for. Moves into Allison's house. She is a drug addict who gets into trouble with her parents.
  • Alison DiLaurentis: Alison DiLaurentis goes missing in grade 7. She is the leader of the whole little "clique" and she gathers secrets on each off the girls and holds it over them kind of like blackmail, causing problems. And she is very manipulative and will do anything to get what she wants.
  • Meredith Gates: Byron's student, who has some shocking secrets she ends up sharing.
  • Byron Montgomery: Aria's Father.
  • Ella Montgomery: Aria's Mother.
  • Ezra: He is an English teacher at Rosewood High, who recently graduated college. He met Aria at Snookers.
  • Andrew Campbell: A boy in the girls' class that Spencer always ends up competing with.
  • Wren Kim: He's a doctor who is dating Spencer's sister Melissa Hastings. Wren is starting to like Spencer more than just a friend and is starting to like her more than Melissa.
  • Mrs. Fields: Emily's mother, who is really uptight and conservative and wants everything to be perfect.
  • Mrs. DiLaurentis: Allison's mother.
  • Noel Kahn: Rich popular boy. Has a crush on Aria.
  • Ashley Marin: Hannah's mother who after her divorce is never around.
  • Darren Wilden: Former student of Rosewood High. Becomes a cop and is investigating the Alison case.
