  • Mr. Moscovitz: dirtbag... ran flower making shop, he hires women, then sleeps with them, and cheats them out of their money
  • Mr. Garoff: Gussie's father, Rose and Maureen rent a space to live off of him
  • Elsa: Rose's aunt, married to Rose's Uncle Patrick, is a brat, and treats the Nolan's terribly
  • Margaret Rose: American name is Rose, she is determined to become an American, and have her own home and job
  • Joseph: Rose's baby brother, was forced to be sent back to Ireland because he wasn't allowed into the country with his disease.
  • Da: Rose's father, supports the family, goes back to Ireland with Joseph, never really stepped on American soil.
  • Rose Klein: Rose's friend, meets her at the Triangle Shirt-waist Factory, dies in the fire.
  • Bridget: Rose's other younger sister, goes back with Rose's Ma because Ma can't stand America
