Yes | No“Warning: This book does not contain any seals, roots, shamans, silver penises or flying entities whose sole purpose in life is to clean your bajango after sex. It does however, contain bees, mentions of pookas, crusty wounds, an eye-rolling worthy ghost plot, steamy stolen kisses in the dark, a fire, and hidden treasure. *sees Lola perk up* No Lola, it is not about a half man half bee Alpha Hero who in addition to owing a monstrous dick (as they so often do), has a stinger which he uses for sexual purposes while collecting his lady’s pollen. Sigh. Readers’ discretion to be advised.
For those of us who love the joy and wonder of a Romance series, then Lisa Kleypas’s Wallflower series is a delightfully never-ending historical Romance saga featuring Annabelle, her younger sister Daisy, Lillian and Evie. “Mine till Midnight†brings back Cam Rohan of Wallflower Evie’s book, who coincidentally happens to be the owner of Daisy’s first kiss (for the avoidance of doubt, that would be Cam, not Evie). If you’re thinking this be the “stolen kiss†referred to above, you’d be half right, as the book features many a more stolen kisses. Nothing much has changed in Cam’s life since Lisa Kleypas last featured him, other than the fact that he is now filthy rich (prerequisite #3 of an Alpha hero (#1: the Alpha hero is always ridiculously good looking; #2: the Alpha hero always has a large schlong)) thanks to his good luck curse. What good luck curse you ask? Well according to Lisa Kleypas, it is against the nature of a freedom-loving gypsy to have any roots (*sees Lola wince* Sorry about that Lola) or have a sturdy home over their heads or money of any sort and thus, Cam’s McScrooge-like wealth is a heavy burden to him. Plus, it doesn’t help that every time he tries to “get rid of it†in the form of lousy investments, the money comes back to him three-fold. I suppose Cam’s plight would be funny if my recent investment in Mimi’s Gerard-Butler-find-o-scope didn’t cost me an arm, a leg, one kidney and half my liver (the good side). *glares at Mimi*

This is a light read, nothing series, doesn't drag and it has a sense of familiarity because of the recurring characters from the Wallflowers Series. I especially enjoyed reading about Sebastian and Evie again, and the way Lilian makes Westcliffe laugh just by being herself. Lisa Kleypas really created the atmosphere of the reader being there in that time period and because of the characters, although titled, are just like the rest of us, who're not restricted to formalities, the characters are not high and mighty, they have flaws. I definitely agree with the others that Cam wasn't really meant for Daisy, he's too powerful a character and he would overwhelm and dominate, that's why Amelia Hathaway is the perfect match for him. She's level-headed and mature, and necessarily overbearing. Between them, there's a sense of balance, like a good luck meeting bad luck, and the way fate brought them together. Love scenes are hot! Enough said about that, and I can't help but love Cam, the way he's described, he's really drool-worthy. I'd definitely read this again, and start on the next in this series with another intriguing pair.”

Love the hero (though I think that is more associated with his appearances in other books than his showing in this one), mostly like the heroine. Enjoyed the the book, but it still felt flat somehow.”
