• Lindsay Boxer: Lead detective and main chick in the murder club. Strong and outgoing she gets the job done on her own terms.
• Jill Meyer Bernhardt: An assistant DA and one of the member's of the Women's Murder Club.
• Cindy Thomas: A reporter and member of the Women's Murder Club.
• Joe Molinari: Deputy Directory of Homeland Security. Assists in Investigation. Strong, Brave law enforcement officer who can listen even when the message is contrary to what he'd like to hear and also trusts his gut instinct.
• Claire Washburn: Coroner - Lindsay's best friend and one of the member's of the Women's Murder Club.
• Charles Danko: The man who placed the bomb at the Lightower's home. Also one of some remaining Radical member of the sixties.
• Steve Engler: Jill's husband.
• Michelle Fontieul: She was the nanny, Wendy. Later known as Michelle. The person who stole the baby.
• Malcolm Dennis: Michelle's boyfriend and co-conspirator in the bombing. A psychopath.
• Sweet Martha: Lindsay Boxer's dog.

• Robert Meyer: Jill Bernhardt's father. A prosecutor in the D. A.'s office on the case of the bombing case at the BNA Hideout in the sixties.
• Gerhard Propp: An economist going to give a speech at the G-8 gathering. Also known as Gerd Propp.
• Agent Thompson: Special Agent who was brought in on a case of murder which was later found out not to be connected to Molinari's case.
• George Bengosian: Worked for Hopewell Health Care.
• William Danko: Charles Danko's brother. A teenager belonging to a radical group in the sixties.
• Mimi: A woman George Bengosian was trying to get acquainted with. Also known as Julia, another member of the "August Spies"
• Gerd: Gerhard Propp, a Chief economist of the OECD in Geneva.
• Jeffrey Stanzer: Another name Charles Danko used. Others names he used over the years were Michael O'Hara and Daniel Browne.
• Ed Noroski: Claire's husband and they have kids together.
• Dianne Aronoff: Morton Lightower sister.
• Morton Lightower: The Man who died in the fire.
• Joe Santos: A Berkeley Police officer who headed up the Street Intel Unit.
