Mrs. Jenkins has yet to disappoint! I have read many of her novels and she continues to WOW and ENTERTAIN me. I was TOTALLY caught up in the storyline from page one. She kept me enraptured with ALL the mystery and intrigue. And the SEXY excitement of the budding romance between Mykal and Sarita is simply AMAZING. I love the way she incorporated her historical characters within this contemporary treat by making them descendants of the main characters. I DEFINITELY look forward to reading and ENJOYING more of her contemporary romances.

This was the first book that I read by Beverly Jenkins and I was so impressed and could not put this book down. She has a true fan in me.

I didn't think I'd like The Edge of Midnight as much as I'd liked the other Beverly Jenkins books I'd read---but I was so wrong! Myk rubbed me the wrong way just as he rubbed Sarita the wrong way, at first. But I warmed up to him and he grew on me---boy, did he ever. He turned out to be just as sexy as his brothers: Drake and Saint. And I loved this non-stop action and hot romance, just as I loved Saint's story in The Edge of Dawn, and Drake's story in Black Lace. Not to be missed; must read.

Positively a good read, the story is beautiful and so real, it will make you laughing and wondering whether they will become a couple. Mykal Chandler, head of a covert government agency NIA, fights to protect Sarita Grayson, director of a Detroit Community Center that is on the verge of being closed due to lack of money, the woman he has fallen in love with, is so desperate. That's the only explanation for her late night rendezvous with a bag of stolen diamonds. I really suggest to anyone to read this book. If you like suspense and romance novels, you'll love this book, and will really keep you on the edge of your seat. The love scene is really unique, not the same way as Beverly Jenkins has illustrated. I recommend the book, and a must read for all! I like the way the author discussed her historical characters in connection to the present characters.
