“This was an excellent romance novel that was set during slavery. It gave an insightful look into the Underground Railroad. It is a must read. I give it 5 stars.”

It has such heated romance that I was ready to snatch Galen Vachon right out of the pages into my bedroom! Now I know why Drake, Myk, and Saint (in her contemporary books) are so romantic--they are definitely gifted with their ancestor Galen's "romantic gene" (as Drake kept saying). Additionally, Ms. Jenkins brings black history alive with her historical romance books and this one got me interested in learning more about the role of slaves with indigo plantations. History, romance and excellent writing---couldn't ask for more.”
