There were times when I had to go back and re-read a page to try to figure out what exactly Robert Pirsig was trying to say but all in all very enlightening and enjoyable. The whole time I kept finding myslef thinking "That makes total sense. ”

Pirsig attacks the orientation of the principles that are guiding the world and our lives today and suggests a whole fresh outlook at existing facts. A book that meditates on a man’s quest for Quality, truth or knowledge. Definitely a culture-bearer of our times.”

It twists and turns and changes direction from chapter to chapter. By using a cross-country motorcycle trip as a way to express the philosophy of the human condition in regards to technology today, the book weaves a story that entertains, enlightens, provokes thought all at the same time. I like the way the author uses the subject of quality to make a case for philosophical reasoning among the great thinkers and the comparisons and contrasts to being one with the motorcycle as opposed to expecting technology to take care of itself. With the beautiful descriptions of the scenery, I am inspired to ride through the western states on the same path.”

It is about the way the father looks at life and what his philosophies on life are. The two main characters are Pirsig and his son, Chris. I did not like this book as I found it dull and did not like reading about philosophy. This piece was about the quality of classical and romantic ties to life. ”
