This book, written by Robert M. Pirsig, has really surprised me; the story it’s quite unusual: a man ride his “machine” with his son and two friends across US and during this journey many philosophical discussions take place. Most of these regard “Quality” a concept which breaks the dualism...

It is a little bit amazing that I managed to finish this--a book I found deeply tedious, sometimes intriguing, and often irritating. Sheer determination saw the end of this dense 373 page, philosophical treatise on one man's quest to find the limits of rationality. And dip into insanity on the...

Read this as a teenager and have never forgotten the themes of quality and preceptions, or more aptly, the perception of quality. A wonderful exploration of how to perceive the world around us.

An awesome read and for me it was the book which changed how I looked at life. The enquiry into self and beliefs is very fulfilling through this book.

I need to read this again to be able to rate it for how I like it now. But it was one of my favorite books in my angsty teen years.

An interesting modern interpretation of eastern philosophy, namely value/quality based philosophy instead a subject/object construct. This book is easy to read told half as a story and half as an educational text. A classic must read for all.

This book towers as a work of immense genius and skill. The concepts discussed are wide-ranging and powerful. The book has many layers that continue to permeate the mind for hours, days and weeks after its completion. Following its central argument it is made of Quality. In the spirit of brief reviews it's important to remind everyone it's a pleasure to read, and elucidates many a complex philosophical schools of thought. I can say with a certainty one should not go through life without reading this book.
