The novel that "revived" science fiction according to many (including the author himself). Like all cyber-punk would become, this book throws the reader right into the technological jargon of the future with little to no explanations of what anything means. A credit is given to the reader that...

This is the best book I've read in the last year. It started of slow and a bit hard to comprehend, but once you got past the stylized langage and setting, the book was exquisite. Movies like Blade Runner, The Matrix & the like are cheap imitators. This is the real deal.

The more I think of it, the more I think this may be the greatest thing ever written.

The language is pretty hard to break through but the story is pretty interesting. Fans of the Matrix should definitely read this.

Great book - I freely admit to being too swivel headed to get it all, but I know greatness when I read it.

Best and most original cyberpunk novel ever. Started the genre and still the best example.

I'll write this later when I've more energy. Fantastic book, a must read, yada-yada.

One of the few books I believe I may be able to get more out of by reading it again than reading another book. Our human experience has been affected by Gibson's imagination. It demonstrates that true and ancient power that a writer can have on the world around him.
