This trilogy sits on the border between science fiction and science fact, describing how human expansion into the solar system should be. It also describes how our currently abysmal stewardship of the home planet is likely to end up and proposes a new way to organize an economy to correct such systemic poor planet care.

I seem to be in the minority on Kim Stanley Robinson. I own all these books but found them "heavy" and difficult to get into and gave up. I'll have to revisit them sometime.
