Everyone at work is on book 4, 5 or finished the series and want more, but for me wasn't moving fast enough and was depressing to read. “I read this when I heard that the TV series was going to come out. I really enjoyed the plot but found that there were too many characters that were not important to the plot. Also, I had my favourite characters and found it tedious following the chapters of characters that I didn't much care for. Over all a brilliant fantasy world, but probably the only time I have preferred the on screen version to the book!”

“I am usually not into books in this type of Genre but this book is very well thought out and the characters are more than two dimensional caricatures. This book is a real page turner and I could't wait to dive back into the book. I even bought the audio book in order for me to be able to listen during my commute. This book is a bit dark and has a lot of cussing and sexual content so may not be appropriate for those under 16 IMO. ”

“Reading this felt like watching a match. I turned page over page, eager to find out what happens next to each important character, but almost nothing more. I hate the fact that this has been compared to Tolkien's works (or even Robert Jordan's) It has nothing of that greatness, nobility and purity of Tolkien's masterpiece, that beautiful characters you can admire as models, you wish to be like. Yes, it is modern, gripping and dynamic but it only teaches the cruelty, lechery, profanity and nihilism that we also find in our own world. ”
