“Might be exaggerated & Too fantastic at times BUT a really fascinating book all the same!”
“I think I have to agree with Valerie S - "Not my favorite book by him, though an OK read...." if you like that kind of read...”
“I really had 2 plod through the first 100 pages, considering this is the 1st science fiction book ive ever read, but later on it really grabs ur interest! The news flashes are really hilarious,,wuz completely taken aback! But i really enjoyed it, since its pretty comprehensible.”
“I actually really liked Next, and although its not his best book, its definitely better than most. It is really saturated with facts and science, as are most of his books. You definitely need some understanding of biology to follow a lot of it. But as far as weaving a plot with facts and a clear statement (beware of rising technology and its ethical issues), I think he did really well this time! ”
“I liked this book, I can't say that I loved it though. Although I thought that it might be educational to a degree for non scientifically oriented readers I found that people like my dad couldn't seperate the fact from fiction in the story which could definately be a negative point.”
“Not my favorite book by him, though an OK read. The bibliography at the end listed a lot of interesting sounding books on the ethics and science of genetics.”
“Michael Crichton has made a career of tantalizing us with technology while preaching the potential for catastrophe. What's Next?”
“well what i felt is that the story of the book is not so good...but the author brings many issues and facts in the field of biotechnology and genetic engineering to the reader which are really interesting to learn...well that has always been a part of micheal crichton book..so if u wanna read another book based on facts this can be the one to read...”
“yes. i have heard all about it's moral conscience in deciding who owns all our genes.. can ne1 temme how to get the e-book??”
