Often when I read Neil Gaiman's novels and short stories I find myself disappointed that they don't quite live up to some of the power and mastery of his work in comics. This book, which is a combination of prose and Yoshitaka Amano's art, does however manage to do my idea of Gaiman justice.

A wonderful authentic Japanese legend seen from Neil Gaiman's keen eyes. Superb.

Although not a comic, it was the book that got me back into them.

The beautiful illustrations alone are worth the time.

Ao trazer Sandman para o Japão, Neil Gaiman cria um conto perfeitamente japonês, utilizando, claro, da cultura, dos costumes, da religião, das crenças e, inclusive, da narrativa!

Another hit from Gaiman and Sandman. This one is very interesting since it calls up a side character from a previous Sandman tale. I hold back from giving it 5 stars mainly because for my money, I didn't get to see enough of the Sandman in this one. But props for a severed face nailed to the wall and talking, that is always interesting.

I actually ended up with this by accident when the parentals misread my Christmas list. However, I'd say it's a misread for the win. Beautiful flowing Chinese styled artwork with a Gaiman flair. Beautiful.
