Summary

  • Harry Potter: an orphan, harry is the main character in the series, he lives with the Dursleys (awful people) and goes to school at hogwarts. his parents were killed by lord voldemort and he has a scar on his forehead and everyone in the wizarding world knows him.
  • Ron Weasley: Harry Potter's best friend, has a huge family that is seen as the bottom class and live in the "burrow", along with harry, he goes to hogwarts.
  • Herimone Granger: the last part of the trio of friends in the series. she is the top of the year at hogwarts, and her parents are both muggles. she has a cat named Crrokshanks.

  • Petunia Dursley: Vernon's sitck of a wife, she is a quiet sour-looking woman.

  • Seamus Finnigan: Harry Potter's Gryffindor roommate
  • Dobby: the house elf Harry frees from the Malfoys in his 2nd year. He idolizes Harry and works in the Hogwarts kitchens but only for pay, and he has a weird obsession with socks.
  • Dean Thomas: Harry Potter's Gryffindor roommate
  • Charlie Weasley: 2nd oldest of the Weasley children. he works with dragons in Albania.
  • Neville Longbottom: the incompetent son of the Longbottoms who were tortured until madness when they were both aurors. He lives with his grandmother, and befriends harry.
  • Molly Weasley: Mother of Ron and his siblings, and cares for harry like a son when he comes to visit. has a short temper.

  • Pigwidgeon: Ron's pet spastic owl
  • Sirius Black: Harry's godfather who escaped after being wrongly put into Azkaban
  • Goyle: one of Malfoy's goons.
  • Cedric Diggory: the Hufflepuff Hogwarts Champions.
  • Percy Weasley: the snooty 3rd eldest child in the weasley family. works for the minister of magic.
  • Mr. Roberts: muggle who owns the site where the Weasleys camp during the Quidditch World Cup.
  • Albus Dumbledore: headmaster at Hogwarts
  • Parvati Patil: Gryffindor girl who goes to the Yule Ball with Harry Potter
  • Fleur Delacour: part-Veela Triwizard champion for Beauxbatons

  • Nearly-Headless Nick: Gryffindor ghost whose head is only held by a thin strip of skin.
  • Draco Malfoy: son of Lucius Malfoy and is in the Slytherin house, and hates Harry Potter with every fiber of his being.

  • Remus Lupin: Harry's former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who is w werewolf.

  • Dudley Dursley: the whale-sized cousin of Harry and son of the Dursleys. In the end, Harry saves him from dementors, and Dudley is grateful.
