I wasn’t sure I was going to like this. I’d just finished listening to Before I Wake and lamenting about how nice everyone was, and now I’m going to listen to a cozy mystery? Instead of boring me, this book charmed me. I liked Hannah a lot. Even her amateur sleuthing is believable, because she never really does anything to find her information that I couldn’t have done (except maybe the breaking and entering!). She mostly just asks the right questions of the right people. The fact that she’s helping the cops is something that is only believable in this small town atmosphere. My only regret is that I was listening to this rather than reading it, because now I’m going to have to track down a hard copy of the book so I can get some of the recipes! I’ll definitely be continuing with this series.

OMG!!! This one of the best books I've ever read! But if you don't really like mysteries, I don't think you would like this book very much. To me, this is the kind of book where you start reading it, and can't put it back down... I finished it in 2 days!!!

Cute little book. Not a gripping page turner, but fun. I enjoyed the recipe aspect, and I can't wait to make some of them. I will read the next in the series.

This came to me highly recommended, but I thought it was kind of dumb. I guess it's ok as light, mindless reading. I did try one of the recipes and the cookies were delicious.

Not as good as some others in this series, Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder is an interesting book that keeps you reading until the very last page.

Nice light mystery, plus several recipes that sound enticing. First in series.

In Joanne Fluke’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder we’re introduced to Hannah’s boyfriend Norman, fifteen years her senior, and boyfriend DET Mike Kingston who moves to Lake Eden after his wife is murdered and by the way, who shot and killed Ron LaSalle, Lake Eden’s local football hero and delivery man and his boss Max? Once Hannah identifies all the suspects she learns that they all have alibis, the trail seems to be going cold. Is it even possible to identify the killer? It is and she does and we’re all surprised when we learn who the killer is? A great read.

Good ol' murder mystery! I like reading this kind of book on road trips and plane rides. It will make you crave cookies though. ;)
