“ If you like quirky, unconventional characters, Whales on Stilts is the book for you. Best friends, Lily, Katie and Jasper try their best to save the world from a maniacal, evil half-human/half-whale creature who is out to overtake the world. Lily's father works for this dastardly beast, Larry...but, all the grown-up humans seem to be under some mind-numbing spell. They work at an abandoned factory adjacent to the ocean where they are creating odd whale accessories such as stilts, yes that's right, whale stilts! And, that is only a start to the mayhem. Only the kids can see past Larry's mastermind plot and devise a way to stop him and all his robot-controlled whales before they destroy the earth. ”

Boss Larry is a half-human, half-whale who conceals his appearance at the office with a grain sack. Everyone else at the company appears to see nothing amiss about Larry or the fact that they manufacture stilts for whales. It's up to Lily and her superhero friends Jasper Dash and Katie Mulligan to foil Larry's dastardly plan.”

But when she discovers that her father’s boss plans to take over the world with an army of whales, it is up to Lily to save the day. Perfect for kids with a love of the ridiculous, Whales on Stilts is like the book equivalent to Saturday morning cartoons. ”
