Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5)

by J. K. Rowling

As his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry approaches, 15-year-old Harry Potter is in full-blown adolescence, complete with regular outbursts of rage, a nearly debilitating crush, and the blooming of a powerful sense of rebellion. It's been yet another infuriating and boring summer with the despicable Dursleys, this time with minimal contact from our hero's non-Muggle... (read more)

Best Book in the Series

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the best book in the series so far, but I've only read the first five books. I think all Harry Potter lovers would love to read it. In the book, Harry looks kind of the same. He still has the black hair and is skinny. Also he is 15 and is going into his fifth year at Hogwarts. He knows lots more spells too. The ending of the book was very suspenseful. My favorite part was when Harry went into the Department of Mysteries. In the book Harry must face Voldemorts Death Eaters face to face for something called the Prophecy which is a glass ball with swirling white mist in it. This book did not have a lot of action in the beginning, but in the end there was lots. This book was much better than the others because it was more suspenseful and I always wanted to read on. Lord Voldemort wants the Prophecy but Harry doesn't even know why it is so important. He soon found out that when they (the Prophecy) open they say important things. But when Harry is taking Neville Longbottom up the stairs, the Prophecy drops and he couldnt hear what it was saying over the noise of the fighting. So I recommend this book to everyone who loves Harry Potter and the JK Rowling's series.
Jim Dale at his best

While I haven't yet listened to the sixth Harry Potter book read by Jim Dale, I am very impressed with his reading of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In fact, it was just hearing a portion of this audio version of the book which prompted me to pick up the book series two years ago.
Many people say that audio books shouldn't be purchased because you listen to them only once and then they are useless. With the Harry Potter series read by Jim Dale, I completely disagree. I have a 40 minute commute and will listen to the books over and over again, and my delight in the stories and in Dale's reading has not diminished yet.

How could you not like this book. J.K. Rowling has kept up her style and it is great. I especially loved reading about the Come and Go Room or Room of Requirments. Something spiritual or metaphysical about it. "It is a room that only a person can enter when they have a real need of it. Sometimes it is there, and sometimes it is not, but when it appears, it is always equipped for the seeker's needs. How many people stumble across it? Very few. Mostly people stumble across it when they need it, but often they never find it again, they do not know that it is always there waiting to be called into service." This book is highly recommended.

J.K.Rowling is my favorite Author. I think she's very talented, and I admire her very much. Harry Potter #5 is my favorite book of all time. Why this book is so good, is because it makes you read on. Every chapter has so much suspense! Before I knew it, I had finished it in less than 3 weeks! I totally reccomend you to read this book, though if you haven't read any other Harry Potter books, I suggest you to read the first one, second, third,etc.ect.
