Personally, I think Card wrote another brilliant book that delved into the psychology of the human mind and soul especially of Ender. But I also found the way the aliens thought was intriguing. Card's characters are always analyzing and judging one another which makes everything very intense. What would the story have been like if the characters hadn't been so analyzing and brilliant?

LOVED IT!!! This book, this series, rather, is definitley my favorite. This is why I love sci-fi books. They make you think about things that you never thought of before, which leads you to new opinions and ideas in the real world. You can widely connect things in your life today to sci-fi because life is so strange that it is like a sci-fi book. I always like trying to find the deeper meanings to these books, the deeper conflicts, and this series really made me go into deep thought about a lot of things. I am planning to read Shadow Puppets soon.

Its a different book from Ender's Game. While the Game is more fun novel, Speaker for the dead is probably the deeper, more complicated book and his best work to date. Alot of everything that came after this varies in quality some good and some average but the never reaches the quality of the first two Ender books.

I enjoyed this book, but it in no way lived up to Ender's Game.

ok i really enjoyed this book but i just wanted to say some things that really botherd me.

1st-I can believe that after all those years jane and ender just stoped being friends-for someone who does not have many it seemed kinda weak. I dont think plossible

2nd-this is the real kicker for me the grass thing they chew on, it works as an anstecptic--which just means you can not feel the pain--does not mean that the pain is not happening--so how i see it the piggies would be able to jump on to the fence and over and would not feel the pain however their bodies would just go limp without hurting right?

3rd-I am not happy with ender marrying that lady...

i thought it started off slow, but during the last couple hundred pages of the book i caught myself shutting off the rest of the world. i found it one of those books where it's hard to view certain things the same way afterwards
