  “Caught in a storm with a sick companion, Prioress Eleanor and Brother Thomas seek shelter at a manor and become involved in a murder investigation. A groom is murdered and the sheriff is looking for an easy answer by accusing the cook of stabbing the man. The manor is rife with unusual characters including the promiscuous stewards wife, an overly zealous couple sure that everyone else is terrible sinners, and a recently returned son who had been destined for the priesthood. Eleanor and Thomas apply intelligence and logic to the situation which is not as it seems. This is the sixth book in this series.
