“Very disappointing story, filled in my opinion with lots of bloat. The plot just doesn't work for me, with too many machinations, etc. This one I put down to Dan's bad book, since the other 2 I have read so far, and the 3rd I have started all seem to have the pace, right level of details and nuance, etc that Dan's books are renowned for.
I ended up reading the book like I usually do Mills & Boon styled romance novels, the beginning, the end and skipping through large chunks in the middle.”
