One of the best westerns I've read in many years. It kept a great pace and the emotional tone was perfect. I loved it!

So many people swear by this book. I've read it 2x now - because I thought maybe I was missing something.

Nope - He actually courts this woman by alluding to trout and considers her a whore until he finds out she's a virgin (apparently there is no in-between). And he has a moustache (I...

I have no idea why people think this book is an all time keeper.

One of the great guilty pleasures of my life is reading vintage, particularly vintage western, Lowell. They're popcorn by this point and I can slam through a book in an hour to an hour and a half but they wipe out stress and guarantee a few smiles in between. I think this is my dozenth reading of this book, easily.

First of four "Only" family stories. Placed in the gold hunting days of our wild west, this romance is strong and frustrating. Highly recommended

Dreadful, like all her books. The hero for no reason distrusts and treats the heroine like shit for the entire story. I'm sorry to see she's still writing tripe like this, and that people are reading it.

This is my second favorite book in the 'Only' series. Willow and Caleb Black. What can I say...but what an awesome couple. Willow tamed the wild man herself and it blossoms into something really really strong. Wolfe is so envious of what Caleb has that he wishes Jessie was just like Willow. The other books are about her brother Whip, Matt and I think there is another one but I can't think of his name. Great books and wonderful stories if you enjoy the wild west and horses.
