Anybody else in the USA shelling out extra for the UK addition......I can't help it.....I'm weak to temptation!
This is a very funny book, however, read a diffrent book if you are new to Terry.
I'm such a fan of Terry Pratchett it is difficult to make a critique. I admit that my idea of humor is a bit dry and I like that a Pratchett Joke will take three chapters to set up. Once you're an established fan each book is at least as funny as the last; cameos from character that starred in other books are hilarious. Making money is funny in all these ways, with the added bonus that, once again, Pratchett is making fun of the real world. That said, the humor that is directly related to past books will stump the newbie. Still, I could not put the book down, the is nothing really like Pratchett out there.
There wasn't a lot of funny in this book, but what was there was great. I like his more serious side books as well as his silly ones and love his ability to shift back and forth between the two sides, sometimes in one book.
Whether you are a total Pratchett-ophile or not, I think this book has a lot to offer and highly recommend it.
Seems very relevant. Maybe we should have learned something from this?
Loved the bits of humor, though I felt Going Postal was more fun.
