Stosh was on a baseball team called Flip Fan Club. They were versing a team called the Exterminators. This boy name Kyle is a good pitcher; he throws curve balls and strikes everybody out. He doesn't change up his pitches. People say Satchel Paige is the fastest pitcher. Stosh has a secret, if he touches a baseball card he goes back into time when it happened! He and his coach Flip went back into time to see if Satchel page is the fastest pitcher using a radar gun.
When they go back to 1942, Stosh and Flip see a bus and they think Satchel is on it, but he was not. They saw a car and Satchel was sitting on the car. They asked Satch if he was the fastest pitcher and he said yes, but they wanted to find out if it was true. Satch took them to a baseball field and he pitched balls for them. When they were just about to find out his fastest pitch, they heard a gun shot. The shot almost hit Stosh's foot! They ran to the car and drove off FAST.
Later in the story Satch and his team were playing against the clowns. Stosh didn't think the game with the clowns looked like a World Seris baseball game. When Satch came out to pitch, everybody screamed for him. Satch struck out batter. The clowns needed a pitcher so Flip pitched for the team. Flip pitched a home run to a lot of batters so Satch's team won the game. The clown's coach was screaming at Flip.
When Stosh and Flip and Satch went to Pittsburgh, Satch saw a baseball player named Josh Gibson who was also in the Baseball Negro League with Satch. Josh was talking smack to Satch about pitching and how he wasn't going to strike him out. When Satch was pitching balls to Josh, he struck him out with the faast ball. Stosh and Flip could not record his fastest pitch because the radar gun blew up.
