A part of the continuing saga of Miles Vorkosigan. Miiles is a good guy with a sense of humor and a brilliant mind. He also is a TROUBLE magnet! When sent on a diplomatic envoy mission, he manages to "stop the [neighboring] Empire from breaking up into eight aggressively expanding units, ... derailed plans for warby some of them with [the home star system]...survived an assassination attepmt, and helped catch three high ranking traitors, and ... solved a murder." This was a rexing two week trip!

Još jedan super zanimljiv nastavak pustolovina Milesa Vorkosigana. Prikaz neobične društvene/genetske strukture neprijateljske Cetagande fascinirao me. I opet Milesova pobjeda i genijalnost koju ne može javno objaviti. [3

Miles Vorkosigan is one of the greatest characters ever, and I love the plot as well. Nicely written, with a few expressions that I couldn't really understand (the whole genome thing).

Not the best nor the worst of the Vorkosigan stories. I've both read it and listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the audio better.

A great look into how the Vor fit into their universe. Not so crazy about the Haut Lady plot - after all, 50 % of the population won't find them that entrancing.

Interesting to see a Miles story with no Admiral Naismith. I liked the political maneuverings and I found Cetagandan culture fascinating.

Great mystery! Loved it! Miles is wonderful and Ivan is always fun. This book has a bit of everything in it. Mystery, adventure, love. A great Miles mis-adventure turned hero. As always with Miles things have to fall totally apart before he can figure out what is really going on.

Some Miles fans don't love this book quite as much as the others, but it is my favorite. We learn so much about the Cetagandan culture and empire, mostly by implication, not disrupting the plot. The inner logic is so compelling you feel sure that Bujold could easily answer questions you haven't yet thought to ask. If something doesn't seem to make sense, you don't feel like chalking it up to inconsistency, you think about a logical answer.
