Award: The Caldecott Honor

This book was a funny and interesting way to look at animals. It is about a farmer whose cows go on strike because they typed up a letter stating that they wanted electric blankets for the winter and the farmer did not want to spend the money to buy them. One day the cows tell the farmer that they wont produce any milk until they get their electric blankets. The farmer persisted so the next day the chickens decided that they won’t lay eggs until they get the electric blankets. The farmer eventually realizes that without the crops he won’t make money so he caves and gets the blankets.
