“I liked the book; I thought it had a lot of potential. However, I felt there was so much more to be developed. There were many issues brought up in the book - being a child of rape, the "testing", leaving the only mother and country she knew, immigration, sexual phobia, bulimia, the relationship with her mother - but I didn't feel that she went into enough detail on any of them. If I could give this book 3.5 stars, I would. I'm giving it 4 because I felt it was good book with some good insights into Haiti.”
