A book that I couldn't put down. I felt as if I was there in the coal mines with her. Amazing!

Although not one of Cruz's best, this compact thriller is a good read.

Typical Martin Cruz Smith. Great reading. Evokes the atmosphere of industrial age Britain wonderfully. Dark.

It was ok... A little too formulaic. It was Renko with a British accent.

Different than his other books, interesting, but doesn't contain the tension and sense of adventure of "Wolves, Polar Star, and Gorky Park"
