Cupcake Brown survived all these things before she’d even turned twenty.

And that’s when things got interesting….

A memoir of Cupcake, a girl who went to live with an abusive foster family and escaped and became involved in drugs and selling sex to survive the streets. Horrific story but read to the end for a positive outcome.

This book is very inspiring and filled with a mixture of sadness, bitterness, hatred, envy, loneliness, joy, love, hope and faith. The author has gone through some tough times and has shown through her writing that through the help of the Lord, strength, and prayer - all things are possible. Overall, the key to success is to never give up. This is a great read and I rate it five stars. It is a must read!

The book was excellent; like many of you have stated the abuse is neglected through the systems because many people are looking for the money instead of the welfare of a child.

Even if your a drug user, you do remember and it can haunt you at times...just like anything else. So to say it's fake and how can... Yes you can, think back when you've smoked or drank too much and you remember vaguely or some portions of the past events.

This book was so beautifully written. I was gripping at every page in amazement. I can say this book changed my outlook on like, as cliche as that sounds. Appreciation is a good word. She made it through, though. I loved every moment of it. I would read it 20 times again if I could.

As much as I hate to admit it, I was sucked in. Despite the horrors this poor child went through, I am determined to finish this-it will have to wait though, I only got to page 237 before having to return to the library for someone else to read...more on that later...
