“Amateurish conversations sometimes. Not entirely believable scenarios at other times. But this is the birth, I think, of Jack Ryan. One hell of an iconic character. Not Tom's best but he can certainly be forgiven. The book drags too long in the beginning and that takes something away. Nice book though”
